Global warming and its impact on British Columbia.
Problem.Climate change is significantly impacting British Columbia. Changing patterns of rainfall and snowfall affect rivers, lakes, and groundwater. Historical data shows that lakes and rivers are thawing much earlier, glaciers are retreating, and the Fraser River's flow is shifting.
Challenge. Many people underestimate the impact of global warming, but it poses a severe threat to our resources and daily lives, casting a large shadow on British Columbia's future.
Solution. To raise awareness, I designed an advertising poster and a guerrilla marketing concept. The poster features a glass of water marked with measurements from 1950 to 2050, symbolizing our dwindling freshwater resources. The guerrilla marketing idea involves using the glass in everyday contexts, like restaurant settings, to highlight the urgency of the issue and the irreversible trend scientists predict by 2050.
